A Quest for the Water of Life

Search for the Water of Life that refreshes and keeps alive the soul. It is the Spirit and truth of God.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life John 4:14

This life is real and genuine, active and vigorous, devoted to God and blessed. The Water of Life is available as a gift to anyone seeking it.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely Revelation 21:6

There was once an Emperor named Trajan who is considered one of the greatest emperors in the history of Rome. During his rule, Rome experienced great prosperity. Trajan was a great warrior, selfless and courageous. It is said that when the bandages of the military surgeon ran out, Trajan tore into strips his clothing to bind up the wounds of his soldiers.

On a grander scale, Jesus Christ poured out His blood as a balm to heal our wounds. His flesh was torn to bind them. He did not shy away from this task but courageously faced the enemy and won the victory.

Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that should come upon Him, went forth and said unto them – Who seek ye? John 18:4

I write to encourage you to ask God for His Water of Life and then holy determination and bravery to follow Him. He lived and died for you and thus lives and dies with you.

Our path in this world is lined with affliction and temptation. The Christian’s faith is assaulted and repulsed but…

Jesus, who is crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death so that by the grace of God he might experience death for everyone. It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering as part of his plan to glorify many children. Hebrews 2:9-10

Walk your path then, in all faith, patience and godliness with heaven’s glory being your reward and celestial joy which dries up tears and heals all wounds, your permanent victory.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1
