Hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
Why is God’s love shed abroad in my heart, and why do I have such a strong desire to share that with others?
God’s love is shed abroad in my heart because I have been justified by faith and have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s love is shed abroad in my heart because I have obtained access by faith into this grace by which I have been established, and I boast because of my hope in God’s glory.
God’s love is shed abroad in my heart because I know that my sufferings produce endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
This hope will not disappoint me because God’s love has been poured out into my heart by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

And so it is – the letting go of worldly things and relationships. The understanding that there is no peace here on earth
without God and God is fading from our view in our worldliness-I can’t have it. I must always have God clearly in focus,
not fading away.
