Psalm 139:17-18 How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

God’s thoughts concerning us and our welfare are profound, as cannot be known. It is impossible to realize how many mercies we have received from Him.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

The way of godliness is pleasing to God and profitable to us. As the Lord knows us thoroughly, and we are strangers to ourselves, we should fervently desire and pray to be searched and proved by His Word and Spirit. If there be any wicked way in me, let me see it; and do root it out of me, O Lord.
